See the sounds! Hear the images! Smell the blood! Feel the laughs! (Really — people laughed! At the funny bits!) Gag at the “dancing”! Here’s the March 2 live performance of “The Treacherous Brain” for Illicit Ink’s Underground Night at The Bongo Club.
The sound is OK but you can see the gushing blood for your own amusement! If you want to hear the music (I didn’t write it or sing it, but you really do — Ricky) check out the studio versions of each track and the whole shebang in our earlier posts.
Special thanks to Myra for coming along and utilizing the Steadihand(TM) she brought specially.
Nerd Bait’s long-form concept single The Treacherous Brain has its world première as part of Illicit Ink’s Underground night at Edinburgh’s Bongo Club at 8pm on March 2. Check out the trailer. IN A WORLD OF LOVE, BLOOD, SEX… AND STROKES…?
WHAT IS NERD BAIT?
Nerd Bait is a six-legged transatlantic collaborative creative collective consisting of a hyphen-collecting multi-instrumentalist-composer, singer-scientist and a bloke who does wurdz. They write and perform unfashionable forms. After the long-form concept single, a lieder cycle and a blippy radio thriller are in the works.
WHAT IS THE TREACHEROUS BRAIN?
The Treacherous Brain is Bad Boyz, Driller Killer and Quadrophenia crammed into ten minutes. That is, it’s a buddy story about a boy and his brain in which a guy has a hole drilled in his skull in the form of a prog-rock opera in which the survival of our protagonist is uncertain. And it ain’t like none of them things.
It’s hard to explain. You should come see.
